Ramen recipe
I haven't used this blog in forever and I feel there's no point in making a "this is what has happened in my life the last year"-post. Hannah asked me to write down the recipe for the ramen I make, so here goes:
You need:
Ramen
2 x Eggs
Chinese soy sauce
Lettuce
Tear up some slices of lettuce. Make sure it is a decent pile, since it shrinks a lot when boiled. Boil water in a pot, and put the ramen in. Let boil until it's softened a little, then put in the spice and soy sauce (I don't have an exact amount, but I guess the water should look light brown). Crack the eggs and pour them in. Mix around and wait until the ramen is aaaaalmost ready. Add the lettuce. It's supposed to almost not fit, but don't worry, it will. Force it in there, and bury it under the ramen. Mix around. Let it boil until the lettuce has gone a little bit smaller and softer, then pour it all up in a bowl. Let it cool and eat! Voila!
Of course, this would taste better with Chinese cabbage but that's not something one tends to have at home.

lol (except not)
Listening to Fast Car by Tracy Chapman. I'm up too late. I don't have any reason to go to bed, or to wake up tomorrow. I'm trying to not go all emo, but it's really fucking hard to get a grip on things right now.
I'm sorry I've isolated myself and disappeared from the face of earth. Sorry I don't get out, or hang out with people. There are a few things going on right now, and it's just hard to deal with. Jake and I aren't together anymore, to start with. The dog was adopted today (well technically yesterday), so I've obviously been heartbroken all day. I've prepared for it for two weeks, but it didn't really make it easier. Lastly I uh. Well, I might be sick with something that's not all that great. Yeah. I don't really want to talk about it or say anymore until I know for sure, and for that I need to take some more tests and stuff. I almost wish I was religious, so that I could pray. Sadly I know that wouldn't do crap. There is nothing to do but just wait and hope, and the whole "hoping for things" never worked out too well for me.
I apologise for being such a downer. Just needed to vent.

No more rodents
It's been ages, I know. I haven't really had anything to say, but now I do. To start with, I have a really bad cold and because of it I've lost my voice. I sound ridiculous when I try to talk. This is the second time in my life this has happened - the first time was the first year of gymnasiet (or was it second?). It's terrible annoying, especially since everyone is making fun of me because of it. It's not funny you guys (except it totally is)!
Onto something more serious, though. We put our last rat, TinTin, to sleep today. Yesterday we noticed he had also gotten and infected tumour (like Hannibal, his brother), and there just wasn't anything else to do. The house is very empty without him, and we miss him. He was such a social and sweet rat; the best one we've had, really. But his brother died more than 6 months ago and it was bound to happen. So rest in peace, little one.

No time like the present
So, it seems to be Christmas eve. Us Swedes celebrate on the 24th, and so I have already gotten my presents. And what presents they were! Two books on coding; Python and Java 6, Assassin's Creed 2, Left 4 Dead 2, some clothes and an office chair. The dog has behaved extraordinary well and I'm very proud of him.
Phew, so exhausted. Hope you all are having a good day.

Cat-dog
The dog killed a mouse today. It was very unexpected. He was just sniffing around in the snow like a maniac and then suddenly he had it in his mouth. It was kind of impressive since those things are incredibly fast. And speaking of snow, there's tons of it now. It looks so pretty, especially where the tree we decorated is (we have a small tree growing outside our kitchen window).
Well, guess that's all for today.
Well, guess that's all for today.

I know I used that headline in my old blog, but it's so appropriate. Finally, snow! It's snowing heavily here right now and the ground is all white and pretty. I took the dog out to play and he was so happy, skipping and sniffing and eating the snow. He's never played in snow before. I love that dog; it's such a shame I can't keep him. Earlier today I put my pillow on the floor and took a nap there, since he barked at me when I tried to climb up in my bed to sleep. He drowned me in kisses and then curled up beside me and slept. Big "aww"-moment there, until I woke up and I felt like I had broken every bone in my body. Over to something game-related. I downloaded this indie horror game called The Path a few days ago, and it's very unique and cozy. It's inspired by older stories of The Little Red Ridinghood. The pace of it is slow since you mostly walk around in the forest just exploring, but I still enjoy it since it's so artistic and the music is pretty. In case you're wondering, yes, I actually bought the download all legally and such. It was only $10 and I agree with supporting the indie game industry. I don't care about stealing games from huge famous game companies, but hopefully these people will notice and be happy that I bought their game. They have made some other cool stuff to, so check out their website. I was even dedicated enough to comment on their latest blog entries.
Who set that poor thing on fire?
I updated Firefox today to version 3.5.5, and sadly the theme I used with it stopped working. So, I went on a theme-hunt and found some cool stuff. I came across my old theme in an updated version, but since I found these awesome new ones I don't want it anymore. It was a total whore anyway.
Of course, I downloaded a bunch of grey-scale ones because that's the way I like it. Simple, dull and grey. But right now I'm using a theme that's so colourful that it's kind of hard to even write this because I keep wanting to look at it. It's a Super Mario Bros. theme, and very well-made, so I just couldn't resist. I also downloaded an Xbox theme which I'll probably use when my eyes start hurting too much from all this colour. I took screenshots of both of them so you can be amazed by their awesomeness (sorry about the MS Paint .jpg quality):

Dada - I mean Gaga
Right. I don't do this very often, but I'd like to comment on something new and hip and that has nothing to do with video games. I'm talking about Lady Gaga, ladies and gentlemen. She's all the rage right now, and I can actually see why. Now, I don't really listen to her songs, as in put them on my Mp3 player and stuff. I hear them on the radio and to be honest, I do love it when they play them. I do think she's pretty unique and she oozes sexuality. I bet you thought I'd think that's a bad thing (or did you? I have no idea. Actually, I won't bet)? Nah, I'm not like that. It's still artistic in a way and not just tasteless porn or anything.
So why did I bring her up in the middle of the night like this? Well, I was watching some music videos and stumbled across this crazy thing: Paparazzi. You don't need to listen to the song if you don't want to, the total WTF-moment for me was the intro with Alexander SkarsgÄrd and the whole... old fashion Swedish film-thing. And they actually speak Swedish. Even Lady Gaga (although I don't know if she's saying that (obviously only learning those lines) or if it's someone else). Yeah, have a look-see.
Is anyone else as mindfucked as I was? Or is this old news and you're all making fun of me behind my back now? More than usual, that is.

It's not a dog toy
See how I'm updating regularly now? I hate updating when I'm not pleased with the design, I suppose. Anyway. Last time I mentioned I was going to have a job interview, and I just wanted to let you know that it went well. He'll call me back on Monday or Tuesday and we'll discuss payment and working hours. Later on in the day, I had a driver's lesson. It was kind of scary, but finally being on my way to get a driver's license feels great. I'll probably do all the tests at the end of January. In other news, today when I was walking the dog, the leash broke. Luckily I was right outside the house, and dad and I went to buy a new one a little while later. Do you know how difficult it is to walk into a pet store and seeing all the awesome dog stuff, and not just buy the entire store? I guess other dog owners might recognise this feeling (do you, Emma?). Anyway, I spent way too much money on the dog. Bought some chewy bones, a big dinosaur-plushie, and of course a new leash. However, "way too much money" is still less than one video game. I say this because I really wish I could afford more video games.
Oh, and I got a parcel delivered to my door this afternoon. UPS called me a couple of days ago and wanted me to pay 30 bucks to get a parcel from ThinkGeek into the country. I did, because I was very curious. I think Josh sent it..? Well, it turned out I had to pay more to get it here than the gift itself cost. It was a cute tuna sushi plushie. A very nice gift, even though I had to pay. So thank you. ~
Work like a dog
Tomorrow I have a job interview with a company called Aurora. The vice president of the company himself called (named Tony and with a strong American accent) and wanted to set up a meeting. I'd either work as an HTML webdesigner or a secretery-thing, both part-time. Even though it's a distance to travel I really hope I'll get one of the jobs. Best part is I could bring the dog!
Oh yeah. For everyone who doesn't know, I'm taking care of a dog right now. It's through an organisation called Hundar Utan Hem (dog's without a home), and I signed myself up to be a temporary home for dogs who need somewhere to live until they get adopted. So, for about a month and a half I've been taking care of an adorable Border-collie mix named Becket. He's about 9 months old and he follows me around everywhere. Here is a link to his page on Hundar Utan Hem:
Becket
The pictures are bad and the text in the about section is from the old temporary home who couldn't keep him. Honestly, I'm glad he got to live with me instead, because they didn't care for him like they should have. He's a really active dog and needs to run a lot to be happy. When he first came he was really stressed all the time, but now he's a very calm dog. He's also very intelligent, and I've taught him a few tricks as well as general manners already.
If you know anyone who would like do adopt Becket, please let me know. He really needs to get to a home where he can stay for the rest of his life and just be happy. He deserves that, really. I wish I could keep him.
Enough about the dog though. I need to get some sleep!

hey listen hey listen hey listen
Yeah, so. This is my new blog, that's linked to my new website. It's not right now, but by the time anyone sees this it will be. My new design is... plain, yes. Boring... maybe. But it looks decent, and not all newb-ish. Of course, the blog is uglier than the main website, especially considering the ads and stuff but... I tried getting wordpress and b2evolution and all that crap working, and it's just so annoying and complicated.
I'm glad blogg.se offers to directly link your blog to your own website. I just wish you didn't have to pay 7 bucks a month to get rid of the ads! There's just no way I'm doing that. But it's worth using this despite of the ads, because of its ease of use and freedom when it comes to designing. Not to mention I have ad-block, but I feel sorry for the people who don't.
Anyway. I considered just redesigning and linking my old blog to the website, but then I thought it was better to just start over fresh. I bought the domain through loopia, by the way. Sarahsighted.com will be the address, which you of course already know about since you're seeing this. It was dirt-cheap, for serious. Around 7 bucks for an entire year. Hear that, blogg.se? Well, what're you gonna do.
I'll soon be ready to part-ay! And by that I mean sit in front of the computer and fiddle with my website.
